Default amazing pvp build

this build has just about everything covered---defense, interupts, heavy condition degen, damage, crippling, and running.

skills---burning arrow(E), forked arrow(optional),apply poison, savage or distracting shot, pin down, whirling defense, storm chaser and troll unguent.

usage-self explanitory =P

You meant "decent arena build" but the hyperbole is forgiven.

Edit: Attributes ? This isn't a build without them.
Edit: I'd take Natural Stride over Storm Chaser.

Yea, it's a decent arena build, but I don't see anything incredibly extrodinary about it that takes it much above other apply+crippling builds out there.

I've been playing a ranger ever since this game was released and I still don't see the big deal about this build. Rangers in general usually have a decent defense by only putting in whirling defense into the build. Any interrupt build will do some damage and combining it with a condition like burning or poison will just add to that. Sorry to tell you, but you really haven't stumbled upon anything that amazing.

It truly amazes me...in a different way. Because PvP and res sig ignorance don't mix y'know?

Some ranger builds truly try to do too much at the same time.

I'd replace Apply with Read the wind, then get a bleeding skill in there somewhere.

Pin down? Storm chaser? Whirling? I've noticed this "heavy-defense" thing on many rangers, but they all also tend to lack damage. I fear a ranger packing lots of offensive skills much more than one hiding behind stances. Keep pin down, and put some more punch into to the build.

lol ronin

I usually use "Natural Stride" and Troll for defence,
for degeneration - "poison arrow" and "hunters shot",
preparation - "read of the wind" - i like it because arrows almost invisible this way, and hardly dodged
"distracting shot"
and one damage skill - "precision shot" or whatever

2 bows - shortbow and longbow

maxed 16 marksmanship, 14 wilderness, else expertize

simple, easy and powerfull build,
btw Natural Stride rocks.

This is a classic case, IMO. I think I have just the thing posted here, without Burning Arrow...

yea, he must be joking. If he was a real ranger, he would have used Throw Dirt instead of Barbed Trap. LoL

i never mentioned barbed trap anywhere =/......forked arrow alone does up to and over 100 damage easy. you can replace it with hunters shot for bleeding. with burning arrow the +30 damage, 5 seconds of burning and 5 second recharge is ALOT of damage. combined with apply poison, even more degen....pindown so they cant run from you, whirling defense to defend from melle attacks and storm chaser to get out of hairy situations and interupt to interupt healing....please try the damn build before you post your know-it-all coments.

no res sig because i use it for ab...

Yea we've been here multiple times:

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10074416

The main reason people love this elite is because Rangers finally have good DPS. I use it alot in PvE and I can honestly say this is better than Barrage in terms of sheer damage and spammability (Serpent's Quickness and Burning Arrow = infinite burning).

If you are gonna use Burning AND Forked, drop Apply Poison and USE KINDLE ARROWS! And don't try to multitask, Burning Arrow is a High Damage Monk hate elite, so build around it with Serpent's Quickness and/or Debilitating Shot. I also kinda find it redundant that you have Whirling Def and Storm chaser, drop the chaser for a better utility skill like Throw Dirt.

I would recommend taking out Pin Down because it's energy hungry. Unless you have Druids/Radiant Armor, an Attunement Rune and a +5e Bow you aren't gonna be spamming Burning, Forked, Interrupt, AND Pin Down with Apply Poison. Plus with a Recurve, you almost never miss so you have no need for Pin Down

I wasn't talking about your build. It was a reply to the joke build someone posted.
